Idea

 The Brief:

Unit 12 Personal Investigative Study consists of writing a 2000 word essay on a topic of my choosing as long as it fits one of these categories; Auteur (Author), Gender/representation, Narrative and Genre. My initial thoughts are to base my question around the topic of gender and representation as this subject really interests me. 

Idea One:

My first idea is 'How are the different genders represented in comedies?' 

Idea Two:

My second idea is 'How are relationships perceived by the different genders in Romantic films?'

Idea Three:

My third idea is 'Are the reboots of films with the genders reversed providing positive female representation?'

After consideration I have decided to go for my first idea as I feel I could find lot's of information and research on the topic. Also I find the topic of gender representation interest me and the comedy genre is not often spoken of in regards to social issues.
